Once I recover and get to feeling better, there are some things I want to do that I haven't been able to do in a long time:


  • Complete a 5K

  • Play catch with my kids

  • Take a long shower

  • Walk the dogs

  • Go line dancing

  • Handwrite a letter

  • Paint the bathroom

  • Dance Party

  • Volunteer in kids' classes

  • Make pierogi

  • Go on a hike

  • Wrestle with the kids

  • Sleep through the night

  • Go bowling

  • Knott's with the kids

  • Type on a computer

  • Go to the beach

  • Host a party (without being in a chair the whole time)

  • Hold my baby

  • Carry my kids to bed

  • Do push-ups

  • Walk through every aisle at Target with an iced coffee (& some spending cash!)


Oh that last one is a dream for me after quarantine and recovery. I better start saving up now!


I know it will take a while to get to some of these. I know I will need to do a lot of physical therapy and occupational therapy. I know I am just one day away from being one step closer to a better me, a more pain-free me, a more robotic me.
