SCS Permanent - It's Happening!

It's been exactly one week since I had the SCS trial removed. My body finally started to readjust to my pain levels and I went to Arizona for my best friend's baby shower. My other best friend drove us there. As we were talking about life, I realized I hadn't heard a peep in a week about the approvals or surgery. I emailed the scheduler at the doctor's office, and about 30 seconds later, he called. He hadn't even seen my email til we were on the phone - we were just on the same page.
He told me that we got the approval for surgery and asked me if I knew I was getting two battery packs. I told him I knew that it was likely the case. He then explained that because I need two battery packs, I would need two separate surgeries. WTF? Now, that was news to me!
Then he asked me if I wanted the lower or upper first? How should I know? What would you choose? I chose the lower. I hope that was a good choice. Then, I got the dates: March 3rd and March 24th. Holy shit! March 3rd is only two and a half weeks away! Then, I realized that I will be 35 for the first surgery and 36 for the second surgery. I think that's kind of cool.
Now, I need to schedule pre-op appointment, prep a bunch of crockpot meals for the freezer, catch up on laundry & housework, and figure out a schedule of help for March! Time to get to work!
