"With my mind on my snuggie and my snuggie on my mind..."

DAY 2
Last night's sleep was pretty darn good, especially considering I was wearing a battery pack belt and had wires sticking out of my back!
And, when I woke up, I wasn't immediately overwhelmed and aware of my pain, like usual. I was able to slowly get up out of bed and I reaoized I wasn't limping to the bathroom. Another sign of progress! Ultimately, the most pain I was aware of were the spots on my back where the wires were. And, it wasn't so much "pain" as they were just very sore. They weren't burning or shooting up or down my body. It was a normal pain most people probably would feel.
I went through my normal morning routine and everything was just a bit easier. I was laying on the recliner, feeding the baby his bottle, and watching Sherlock on Netflix (so good!) when I hear a beeping sound. I thought it was coming from the show, but then the scene changed and I still heard it. Pause. It was me! My battery started beeping! WTF?!
I used the phone number Jaron gave me and he picked up right away. Thank God! He went through some settings with me and said he needed to come out and take a look. He told me to turn off the system and he would be over in a few hours.
Around 10:30am, one of my best friends came over. Thank God for best friends! She brought her one month old baby and coffee. And even though she just had a baby, she was there to help me. When my baby pooped, she carried him to the changing table. When my preschooler needed to be picked up, she drove. And did I mention she brought coffee? Mmmm.
When Jaron finally got to the house, she watched the kids. He said that the cord from the battery and the cord into my back was pulles tight and were barely connected to begin with, so when I was leaning back, they disconnected. He pulled the wires, so they had more room to stretch and reconnected them. By bow, my legs had started hurting again pretty bad. He said it would be an hour or so until the relief kicked back in. Great...
Soon after that, my best friend left and everyone else started coming home and we got ready to go to my oldest daughter's basketball game. As my husband drove, each turn, each brake, each push on the gas stressed out the soreness of the spots on my back. It wasn't comfortable, but I survived.
I was able to walk easier to the court. I was able to sit easier. I didn't rearrange my legs in the car on the drive as much. Again, more progress. I still wasn't expecting to wear a neck brace, so that kinda sucked, but overall I was definitely feeling better.
The evening went on as normal. I did notice that I wasn't as hungry with the stimulator in. I don't know if it was nervousness about the whole trial or if it had any direct involvement. I was able to get into bed much easier this night and was looking forward to the next day.
