I can't believe how fast the time actually went! I was dreading all the limitations: the wires, the neck brace, the soreness, the "no B.L.T." rules, and how that was going to be so difficult. I thought these four days were going to feel like four weeks! But, it was the complete opposite! I don't want it to end! My pain is actually cut in half! I only woke up a few times last night, and only once or twice due to pain.

My driver came to pick me up and drive me our to Santa Monica. Once there, Erica, the Nurse Practioner gets set up to take my wires out. I just needed to lean forward over the bench and bend my chin down, then a weird tugging sensation and release. The bottom wires are out! Then again, tug, release, and the top wires are out. She followed up with a bandaid and antibiotic cream. Later, the "holes" look like bug bites on my back.

That's it. Just two dots. That won't be how it will be when they implant the permanent SCS, because they need to install the battery packs. But alk I have as battle wounds for this trial is two dots on my back. Science just amazss me!

We are definitely moving forward with the permanent implantation of the SCS for both upper and lower extremities. The trisl was only for the right side. They said they will put in the orders for it, and I may need one or two batteries depending on how it gets the coverage I need in mapping.

They told me I would still get some residual relief from the system, but my pain would definitely be returning in the next few days. At that point, I was just happy we found a solution. I was happy we found a way to get some relief. I went to bes hopeful that night
