I know the title says "chronically ill" but these ideas are good for people with chronic pain, who are on bed rest, who have chronic fatigue, stuck in a hospital, or any other reason that makes daily activities hard. Here are some items on my wish list or items that I just absolutely love! 1. Fancy Shower Cap When you are in constant pain or constantly fatigued, it is hard to do your hair everyday. So, when you do take the time to do it, you sure as heck want to preserve it as long as you can. Traditional shower caps can help, but these Shhhower Caps are supposed to be ideal for long hair and sealing out water better! This one from Sephora comes in cheetah print (I'm obsessed!) and has made its way to my Christmas List!

Dry Shampoo On the same note of preserving hair styles as long as humanly possible... enter: dry shampoo. When I was a kid, my mom had us put baby powder in our hair to soak up the oils in our hair and honestly, some dry shampoos are basically the same thing. The best dry shampoo on the planet is The Champ by Monat. I have gifted this to people after surgery or on bed rest and then they want to order it on their own, sometimes three at a time! Its. That. Good.

Ones with a good tread on them, so they can be worn outside. And, be sure to get ones that easily slip on. I found this pair at Wal-Mart that have made my life so much easier. Bonus: they are less than $15!

And for people that are stuck at home or in bed or on long drives to doctor appointments, the variety of these can keep their mind off what is going on or distract themselves from pain. Some subscriptions oit there are: Netflix, Hulu, Disney, HBO, etc.

Food Delivery Gift Certificates Whether it's a gift certificate to a local favorite that delivers or a gift card to a delivery service, like Door Dash, having meals delivered is so helpful. If they are like me, they would feel guilty setting up a meal train in their honor, but not having to cook or heat up food is awesome. Personally, Door Dash has the best customer service when compared to other services -and I tried them all.

Body Pillow Yes, these are originally designed for the pregnant woman, but you do not need to be pregnant to use these to get comfortable in bed! Even men like these and it's funny to gift them a pregnancy pillow, if they can handle the joke. But no one will be laughing once they cuddle up with one of these. This awesome one from PharMeDoc has been a game changer.

That's where these massagers are a great option that can be used daily, if they wanted. I have two favorites. The first one is the TheraFlow foot massager on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SMJIYNG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_zuwZDbYGE9EMV

The second massager, is the Shiatsu Back, Shoulder & Neck Massager. It is also available on Amazon. This one even heats up for extra relief. When I took my daughter to the chiropractor for a tweaked back, they were even using this same model in their office!

CBD oil and/or cream is the way to go. Just make sure that you are aware that not all CBD is created equal. Often, you get what you pay for, but in the same breath, price does not reflect quality. This one has been tried and tested by yours truly. Its ingredients are high quality. It doesn't smell skunky and it comes in the best packaging.

I also have a fully stocked cupboard of K-cups for my Keurig. I can get my coffee fix either way, but I can't make a foamy gingerbread or cookie butter latte in my kitchen. There is definitely a smile that comes with a first sip of a holiday drink. And all year long, these seasonal drinks are enticing, but pricey. A gift card for one of these is a treat!

Even better, the gift that keeps on giving: https://www.winemonthclub.com/ Remember, as cliche as it sounds, it's the thought that counts. A hand written card can mean more than you know and some quality face time may end up being the highlight of their week. #gifts #giftideas #holidays #birthdays #chronicillness #chronicpain #invisiblediseases #bedrest #fibromyalgia #crps #cfs #crohns #neuropathicpain #myofascialpain #cancerpain #ineffablepain
